We went to the Jake's City Grille for the first time today in Plymouth that replaced the Jakes' Sports Cafe. The renovation decreased the atmosphere, menu and ambiance of the location. It was upgraded to be more modern but it feels a lot like a high priced Perkins if you remove the bar and televisions. The food was fine but the portion sizes were too large and the lunch menu was the dinner menu resulting in overpriced food for lunch. The wait staff and hostesses aren't as friendly. We had to wait to get refills while eating and then were done and the waiter brought out the desert tray before even asking if we wanted any. I believe the overall value for your experience has decreased. We were so excited to see it open again but this will not be our first choice for the area.
